Soak up the Son

Tuesday, October 10, 2006

My Papa used to sing this song. And on the last verse he would mention all the people he knew he would see. I know he is in heaven singing praises with all those saints today.

I BOWED ON MY KNEES

I dreamed of a city called Glory,
So bright and so fair.
When I entered that gate I cried, "Holy"
The angels all met me there:
They carried me from mansion to mansion,
And oh what sights I saw.
But I said, "I want to see Jesus,
He's the One who died for all."

Chorus
Then I bowed on my knees and cried,
"Holy, Holy, Holy."
Then I clapped my hands and sang, "Glory,
Glory to the Son of God."
Then I bowed on my knees and cried,
"Holy, Holy, Holy."
Then I clapped my hands and sang, "Glory,
Glory to the Son of God."

I thought as I entered that city,
My friends all knew me well.
They showed me the streets of Heaven;
Such scenes too numerous to tell;
I saw Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
Mark, Luke and Timothy.
But I said, "I want to see Jesus,
He's the One who died for me."

"Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name."
Psalm 103:1

I hope you Keep On Bloggin'

It's really nice to have "contact" with saints on a regular basis. It's encouraging and keeps us up-to-date on what is going on with those we love...

Like -- I would just like to drop in on one of those Friday lunches. But since I can't, it's nice to find out how much you and your mom enjoy them.

I loved your Papa Kez, here's the funny thing about loving, even though he is gone, my love for him has never stopped because there is a hope/heaven. Numerous times have I wanted to run to him and find comfort and wisdom in the counsel he would have given. He was a special man.
